Power of Attorney

power-of-attorney

There are generally two types of Powers of Attorney, Medical and Durable.  The Medical Power of Attorney is for medical decisions on your behalf except for those covered by a Living Will.  The Durable Power of Attorney is for financial decisions on your behalf.

Power of Attorneys are customized to each person’s wishes.  They can become effective immediately or upon incapacitation.  They can limit the agent’s ability to make decisions and for a certain duration or purpose.

In the event of an unexpected incident, it is safe to have the Medical Power of Attorney and Durable Power of Attorney.
